TEEN GYMOPHOBICS WORKOUT PROGRAMME
Teens Gymophobics is a fitness programme for 11 – 17 year
olds who are looking to achieve an active lifestyle by completing
a 30 minute work out programme in a fun – filled environment.
Themembers get to use a variety of exercise equipment and will
receive a personalised fitness programme designed by a highly qualified Gymophobics Instructor.

ADDITIONAL BENEFITS
• Teen Gymophobics is a structured fitness and education programme aimed at under active
teen girls between the ages of 11 – 17.
• Teen Gymophobics introduces the participant to learn nutritional information and the
importance of exercise.
• The participant will be provided with an exercise log and personalised fitness programme
and will receive advice from qualified fitness instructors.
• Teen Gymophobics provides teens with a safe, secure, fun exercise experience in a nonintimidating,friendly environment.
Teen Gymophobics is aimed at teenage girls between the age of 11 -17 to work out during the
summer holiday for free.The programme has been set up to positively address the nationwide crisis of teenage obesity, andto encourage female teens to adopt a more active lifestyle.
According to the Information Center for Health and Social Care, approximately 16% of the nation’s
youth are overweight or obese and this will continue to rise over the years.
• Only a small proportion of children aged 11 to 15 said they thought they should be doing physical
activity at the level of the current minimum recommendation (10 per cent). A further eight per cent
of boys and three per cent of girls overestimated the minimum recommendation
• Girls were more likely than boys to want to do more physical activity, 74 % of girls aged 11 to15 compared to 61 % of boys.
TERMS & CONDITIONS
The scheme is open to new Teen Members only.
• Children must be accompanied by an adult, parent or carer when using the gym equipment
• Any child not accompanied by an adult, must bring a valid signed consent form from their
legal guardian.
• The participant is entitled to use the gym free of charge during the school holidays at the
allocated times; if an adult joins up to Gymophobics under our 12 month contract, the
participant is entitled to an extended free session until December 31st 2009
• This scheme is subject to availability and at the managers discretion, the participant will
have to attend an induction course prior to enrolment and must be accompanied by an adult
